Strategic Planning

Our process is based on a coaching and facilitation model that increases participants’ capacity for strategic thinking, decision making, and their ability to respond in real-time to unforeseen challenges or opportunities.

Working with clients, we start by determining their goals for the planning process and then design an agenda specific to them.  Depending on the needs of the organization, planning sessions could be multiple days and are precipitated by exploratory conversations with the organization’s leadership.

While staying grounded in the mission, vision, and values of the organization, our sessions also help clients identify and incorporate the following into their strategic plans:

• Existing landscape as well as opportunities and challenges that exist

• Identify any core values or competing policies and norms that could assist in, or hinder, implementation

• Core Competencies in the team and the organization

• Any potential competencies that are missing and need to be addressed

• Any cross-departmental competencies that could help fill needs or add to the knowledge and resource base

• Implementation and Assessment plans or guidance to increase the adoption rate of the plan within the organization

• Depending on client needs, establish periodic check-ins to see how the implementation is going and partner on problem-solving
